Joost Michielsen en Joram op den Kelder spelen vanaf afgelopen zaterdag mee in het Open Kampioenschap van Andorra. Beide begonnen het toernooi goed met twee overwinningen. In de 2e ronde verloren ze echter:Joost tegen GM Erenburg (2533) en Joram tegen IM Oscar Lemmers (2396).
In de 3e ronde wacht hen weer een relatief makkelijke tegenstander. Het toernooi is te volgen op www.feva.ad

Ik begreep dat ons nieuwe lid Chiel van Oosterom ook meedeed. Hij heeft een zelfde traject afgelegd als Joost en Joram tot zover. Ik had alleen verwacht dat hun begeleider (Joost Hoogendoorn red.) ook mee zou spelen, maar dat lijkt niet het geval...

Dat kan wezen Base, maar desalniettemin heeft hij de derde ronde gewonnen. Net als Joram en Chiel. Dus of hij trekt zich niets aan van Michiel van W, of Van W heeft handige schaakadviesen verstrekt...

Aan het internationale toernooi in Andorra speelt een aantal Nederlanders mee (waaronder enkele clubgenoten). Zij doen het niet slecht, na vijf ronden hebben zij de volgende punten behaald:

1. Damjanovic 5
2. Khenkin 4,5
3. Maarten Solleveld 4
18. o.a. Oscar Lemmers en Joost Michielsen 3,5
34. o.a. Chiel van Oosterom en Erik Both 3
63. o.a. Joram op den Kelder 2,5
79. o.a. Nick Hortensius 2

(Totaal 135 deelnemers)
