Trainingsmatch DSC vs Curacao Olympiadeteam 13 april 2024 eerste update

Onlangs kregen wij het verzoek van de FEDAKO (Federashon di Ahedres di Korsou, Curacao Chess Federation) om een trainingsmatch met standaard tijdcontrole te organiseren tegen hun spelers van het Olympiadeteam. Curacao heeft met haar onafhankelijke status het recht om een eigen nationaal team naar de Schaak Olympiade te sturen. Deze wordt gespeeld in september van dit jaar. Het is op de eilanden van onze voormalige Rijksdelen niet eenvoudig om trainings-tegenstanders te vinden met een rating rond of boven de 1900. Bovendien zijn de financiele middelen aldaar beperkt. Deze hybride match (de partijen worden in principe op afstand gespeeld) zou plaats kunnen vinden op zaterdagmiddag 13 april a.s. met een begintijd van 15.00 uur. Dit in verband met het tijdsverschil van vijf uur. En we doen ons uiterste best om deze match live te streamen. Je wordt daar nog tijdig over geïnformeerd.

We hebben inmiddels vijf spelers spelers bereid gevonden de degens te kruisen: Jan Willem de Jong, Gert Legemaat, Erik Both, Ted Barendse en Alexander Bruschke. Het team van Curacao presenteert zichzelf binnenkort zelf op de site.

Overigens, dat ze bij ons zijn uitgekomen is niet helemaal toeval. Onze oud wedstrijdleider Tjerk Albregtse kan daar tijdens deze match zijn oude rol weer oppakken omdat hij lid is van de enige schaakclub op Curacao Nacho Moron Chess Club.
Tenslotte, de match is niet geregistreerd bij de KNSB of FIDE. De partijen tellen dus niet mee voor je rating.





Training match Delftsche Schaak Club vs Olympiadteam Curacao

We recently received a request from FEDAKO (Federashon di Ahedres di Korsou, Curacao Chess Federation) to organize a training match with standard time control against their players from the Olympiad team. Curacao, with its independent status, has the right to send its own national team to the Chess Olympiad. This will take place in September this year. On the islands of our former parts of the state, it is not easy to find training opponents with a rating around or above 1900. Moreover, financial resources are limited there. This hybrid match (the games are in principle played remotely) will take place on Saturday afternoon, April the 13th at 3 p.m. This is due to the five hour time difference.

We have now found five players willing to cross swords: Jan Willem de Jong, Gert Legemaat, Erik Both, Ted Barendse and Alexander Bruschke. The Curacao team will soon present itself on the site.

By the way, that they ended up with us is not entirely a coincidence. Our former competition leader Tjerk Albregtse can resume his old role during this match because he is a member of the only chess club on Curacao Nacho Moron Chess Club.
Finally, the match is not registered with the KNSB or FIDE. The games therefore do not count towards your rating.
